Plaintiffs,

vs.

The Residents of Maleficent Ville and
The Magic Mattress Company,
Defendants

PLAINTIFFS’ ORIGINAL PETITION

TO THE HONORABLE COURT:

NOW COMES King Stefan, Queen Leah and Princess Aurora, aka The Borealis Family, and their staff, as Plaintiffs, and files this here Plaintiffs’ Original Petition in which it complains of the horrible, negligent Defendants. The Borealis family would show the Court as follows:
Plaintiffs

Plaintiffs are the Royal Borealis Family and their staff at the time of the Big Sleep.
Defendants

Defendants are the descendents of the former town of Castleville (or whatever it was before), now known as Maleficent Ville. And the Magic Mattress Company.

General Facts Underlying Suit
About one hundred and sixteen years ago, King Stefan and Queen Leah gave birth to their daughter, Princess Aurora. At the christening, a wicked fairy/ sorceress/ dragon, Maleficent, who had intentionally been left off the guest list due to her insufferable rudeness, crashed the party. Maleficent first expressed contempt for a name that contained too many vowels and then she cursed the poor infant princess by saying that when she reached adulthood she would prick her finger on a spindle and die. Luckily, one of the other, much nicer fairies, changed the spell so that the princess wouldn’t die, she’d just sleep until she was awakened by true love’s kiss.
And, unfortunately, Princess Aurora pricked her finger on a spindle and the whole castle fell asleep. Many likely young princes came, and were sent away or not warned about the dragon, and the princess and the staff slept for almost one hundred years. Finally, young Prince Phillip got through and woke everyone up.

Damages

As a result of the towns people actively discouraging possible rescue, the royal family and staff missed their own generation and woke up in a completely different time period, suffering from temporal disconnect and angst.
The Princess also woke with a sore back, due to the sub par mattress provided by the Magic Mattress Firm.

WHEREFORE PREMISES CONSIDERED, Plaintiffs request trial and that the townspeople and Magic Mattress Firm be cited to appear, answer and upon final hearing Plaintiffs have judgment.
Respectfully submitted,
