I didn't know it, but...

I didn't know it right away, but my daughter, the Fair Megan, had become quite chummy with Aurora the night of the "celebration." Megan, a bit shy herself, had noticed how awkward Aurora felt, even with her mother hovering over her a bit too much and Prince Butt Crack at her side much of the time.

No, that's not his name. That's just what some people call him behind his back. No pun intended. His real name is Phillip (two l's, two i's, two p's) and he really is a nice young man. Even though he did wake the horrible royal family, we are (generally) very glad he wasn't killed by Maleficent the dragon/ sorceress/ town name sake. Okay, not very glad. Would have been very glad had he never shown up that day, if he'd woken up and said to himself- hey, I'd better see if I can rescue that princess from that tower. Wait a sec, I think someone already got to her. Well, there has to be other princesses. No need to see if I can waken that sleeping one with love's true kiss. Or is that kiss's true love? In any case, he's way too nice to be involved with people who named their child something with way too many vowels. Yeah, yeah, I know it means "the dawn" but why didn't they just call her Dawn then? Aurora. Sounds like someone searching for a word after they had a few too much glasses of ale.

Where was I? Oh, yes. So, after I broke the news to my family that I was going to work for Prewitt Fox again for this case, Megan told me that she had been texting Aurora quite a lot. Now maybe they could get together - and Aurora wanted to go to the town school rather than pick up where she left off with those three fluttering fairies - Merrywether, Flora and Fauna
